Haibane Renmei S01

A city long forgotten, surrounded by high walls, humans live alongside the Haibane, who have white wings like angels on their backs, and no one knows where they come from. Rakka, after waking up from a strange dream and finding herself scratching on a large cocoon, becomes the newest Haibane. Although she doesn't remember anything from her past life, Rakka tries to adapt to her new environment, but one question remains in her mind. What are the Haibane, and what is their purpose? What lies beyond the great and forbidden walls of this city? Thus, Rakka begins her journey to better understand herself and her surroundings.
